Getting Started
abi. is your GTM intelligence layer — it connects your tools, tracks what matters, and delivers weekly AI analysis so you always know where to focus. Follow these steps to be fully set up in under 15 minutes.
Step 1 — Connect HubSpot
abi. pulls your live pipeline data from HubSpot CRM using a Private App token (read-only). Go to Settings → Integrations and click Connect HubSpot.
- Takes about 2 minutes to set up
- Only needs read access — we never write to your CRM
- Data refreshes every Monday at 07:00 BST
Step 2 — Define your ICP
Your Ideal Customer Profile tells abi. which deals and leads matter most. Go to Settings → ICP Definition and fill in your target company profile. abi. uses it to automatically score every deal in your pipeline.
- Edit it any time — changes take effect on the next Monday report
- The more specific your ICP, the more accurate your ICP win rate metric
Step 3 — Wait for your first report
Every Monday at 07:00 BST, Claude analyses your week's data and generates a GTM Health Score, a delta report, and 3 priority actions. Your first report appears in the AI Insights tab and arrives in your inbox.
Step 4 — Explore SIGNAL Academy
Go to the Academy tab to access SIGNAL — the 6-stage AI-first sales methodology that powers abi.'s deal scoring. Module 1 is free for all users. Unlock all 6 modules with a SIGNAL or abi. subscription.
Metrics Explained
Every metric in abi. is defined below — what it means, how it's calculated, and what a healthy number looks like for a B2B SaaS/services company.
Total Pipeline Value
The combined value of all open deals in your CRM. A healthy rule of thumb is to maintain 3–4× your revenue target in pipeline coverage. Pulled from HubSpot weekly.
ICP-Fit Win Rate
The % of deals that match your Ideal Customer Profile that you close as won. A healthy ICP win rate is 25–40%. If yours is lower, your ICP definition may need refining or your sales process is losing ICP deals at a specific stage.
Customer Acquisition Cost
Total sales and marketing spend divided by number of new customers won. For B2B SaaS, a healthy LTV:CAC ratio is 3:1 or higher. High CAC relative to your deal size is a sign of inefficient targeting or too-long sales cycles.
Monthly Recurring Revenue
Total active subscription revenue per month. Pulled from Stripe. abi. also tracks New MRR (new customers), Expansion MRR (upsells), and Churned MRR separately so you can see what's really driving growth.
Annual Run Rate
MRR × 12. A forward-looking indicator — not the same as contracted ARR. Useful for benchmarking and investor conversations.
Average Days to Close
The average number of days a deal spends in your pipeline before closing (won or lost). Shortening velocity without sacrificing win rate is a key GTM efficiency lever. Stale deals (14+ days with no activity) are flagged separately.
Composite Health Score (0–10)
Generated by Claude every Monday. A weighted composite of five dimensions: ICP Alignment (how well your pipeline matches your ICP), Pipeline Velocity (deal speed vs target), Revenue Efficiency (LTV:CAC), Marketing Quality (ICP-fit lead %) and Growth Momentum (MRR growth + pipeline coverage). A score above 7 is healthy. Below 5 means at least two dimensions need urgent attention.
Lead to Close Rate
The % of inbound leads that convert to closed-won deals. Healthy range varies by channel and deal size but for outbound B2B, 2–5% is typical. Below 1% usually indicates ICP mismatch, not a closing problem.
How AI Insights Work
Every Monday morning, Claude analyses your week's data and produces three outputs. Here's exactly what gets generated and how.
1. GTM Health Score
A 0–10 composite score across five dimensions. Claude compares this week's metrics to last week and calculates whether each dimension improved or declined. The overall score is a weighted average — pipeline velocity and ICP alignment carry the highest weight.
- ICP Alignment — % of pipeline value from ICP-fit deals
- Pipeline Velocity — average days to close vs your target
- Revenue Efficiency — LTV:CAC ratio
- Marketing Quality — % of inbound leads that are ICP-fit
- Growth Momentum — week-over-week MRR growth + pipeline coverage
2. Delta Report
A structured summary of what improved, what needs attention, and 3 priority actions. Claude is instructed to be specific and actionable — observations tied to your actual numbers, not generic GTM advice.
3. Opportunity Cards
2–4 flagged insights categorised as Opportunities (green), Alerts (red), Warnings (amber), or Info (blue). Each card has a specific call to action tied to the insight — e.g. "You have 3 ICP-fit deals stalled at Proposal for 14+ days. Follow up today."
What Claude can and can't see
- Can see: your metric snapshots, ICP definition, 12-week trend history, integration status
- Cannot see: individual deal names, contact details, email content, or payment information
- Data is aggregated before being sent to Claude — only numbers, not records
Pulse — Free AI Readiness Assessment
Pulse is a free, anonymous AI readiness assessment that takes 3 minutes. It scores your go-to-market across 8 dimensions and gives you a prioritised list of what to fix first.
What Pulse measures
Pulse uses OurIdea.ai's GTM Health Scorecard. It assesses 8 dimensions of your GTM engine:
- Strategy Clarity — Is your GTM strategy documented and specific?
- ICP Definition — Do you know exactly who you're selling to and why?
- Go-to-Market Channels — Are your channels generating qualified pipeline?
- Narrative & Positioning — Does your messaging resonate with your ICP?
- Acquisition Engine — Is your top-of-funnel consistent and scalable?
- Lead Conversion — Are you converting pipeline efficiently?
- Pricing Power — Is your pricing strategy working?
- AI Readiness — Are you using AI to accelerate GTM?
Reading your Pulse score
Each dimension is scored Red (0–3), Amber (4–6), or Green (7–10). The overall score is an average across all 8. Your report highlights the 3 lowest-scoring dimensions as priority areas — these are the highest-leverage places to focus.
- Score 7–10: Healthy — maintain and optimise
- Score 4–6: At risk — address within 30 days
- Score 0–3: Critical — address immediately
What happens after your Pulse
Your results are emailed to you immediately. If you want to go deeper — with a full AI-generated GTM strategy, messaging framework, and ICP analysis — the GTM Launchpad (£97) builds on your Pulse results and delivers a complete, personalised GTM plan.
Access your Pulse
The Pulse tool is on the public OurIdea.ai website. You can also access it from the GTM Launchpad tab inside the platform if you want to retake your assessment after implementing changes.
GTM Launchpad Guide
The GTM Launchpad is a one-time AI-generated GTM strategy report (£97). It turns your answers into a complete, actionable go-to-market plan — ICP, positioning, channel strategy, messaging, and 90-day action plan — in minutes, not weeks.
What you get
- Full ICP analysis with firmographic and psychographic profile
- Positioning statement and messaging framework
- Channel-by-channel go-to-market strategy
- GTM Health Scorecard — baseline measurement across 8 GTM dimensions
- 90-day action plan with prioritised initiatives
- AI report generated within 2–3 minutes of completing the intake form
How to access your Launchpad
After purchase, your GTM Launchpad report renders directly in the GTM Launchpad tab in the platform.
- Open the GTM Launchpad tab to view your full report
- Your scorecard, market research, strategy, and 90-day plan are all displayed in the dashboard
- Click ↓ Download PDF to save a copy anytime
Understanding your GTM Health Scorecard
Your report includes a GTM Health Scorecard — a baseline assessment of your GTM engine across 8 dimensions. Each dimension is scored 0–10 based on your intake answers.
- Use the scorecard to prioritise which GTM problems to solve first
- The lowest-scoring dimensions represent your highest-leverage opportunities
- Retake Pulse after implementing changes to track improvement
What to do with your Launchpad
Your report is a strategy document, not a to-do list. The recommended approach:
- Read the full ICP section first — everything else flows from a precise ICP
- Use the messaging framework in your next sales deck, email, or LinkedIn content
- Pick the top 3 actions from the 90-day plan and schedule them this week
- Share the GTM Health Scorecard with your team and use it in your next GTM review

SIGNAL Methodology Guide
SIGNAL is OurIdea.ai's native AI-first deal qualification and sales execution methodology — six stages that take a rep from first signal to closed-won and expansion. It's taught in SIGNAL Academy and used to score live deals inside abi. Pro, alongside BANT, MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, SPICED and SCOTSMAN. Available standalone (£97–£597/year) or included in all abi. subscriptions.
The 6 SIGNAL stages
Every deal moves through six stages. Each one has a clear gate — a question that has to be answered before the deal is genuinely ready to move forward.
- S — Scan — Signal-led targeting & qualification: who is most likely to buy, right now, and why?
- I — Investigate — AI-powered context research: what is the true business problem, and who has the power to solve it?
- G — Gap — Discovery that quantifies: what is the cost of the gap between current state and desired state?
- N — Narrate — The AI-era Challenger: how do I teach, reframe, and connect our solution to their commercial reality?
- A — Align — Buying committee orchestration: have all stakeholders committed to a shared outcome and a clear path to close?
- L — Land & Expand — Close, transition & compound growth: how do we close cleanly, deliver fast value, and build the path to expansion?
SIGNAL deal scoring inside abi. Pro
abi. Pro can score every deal in your connected CRM against SIGNAL (or BANT, MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, SPICED, SCOTSMAN) using Claude AI. Scores refresh weekly, and you can request an on-demand re-score at any time.
For each deal, abi. shows which SIGNAL stage it's genuinely at — not just which stage your CRM says it's in — and exactly what's missing before it can move forward.
SIGNAL Academy
SIGNAL Academy is a 6-module interactive course that teaches the methodology in depth: audio lessons, an interactive branching scenario, and a scored quiz (80%+ to pass) per module. Modules unlock sequentially as you pass each quiz.
- Module 1 — Scan — Free for all users
- Module 2 — Investigate — SIGNAL or abi. subscription required
- Module 3 — Gap — SIGNAL or abi. subscription required
- Module 4 — Narrate — SIGNAL or abi. subscription required
- Module 5 — Align — SIGNAL or abi. subscription required
- Module 6 — Land & Expand — SIGNAL or abi. subscription required
Certification tiers
Certifications are performance-based, not just completion-based, and are earned in sequence:
- Tier 1 — Practitioner: complete all 6 modules and pass every quiz at 80%+
- Tier 2 — Certified Seller: Tier 1, plus the best outcome in all 6 interactive scenarios, plus an 85%+ average quiz score
- Tier 3 — Sales Leader: Tier 2, plus 3 completed Deal Audits against real pipeline, plus a 90%+ average quiz score
Use the Deal Audit tool inside the Academy to run a real, live deal through every SIGNAL gate and get a pipeline health score — the same analysis abi. Pro performs automatically.
